Abby Jensen is a Senior Project Manager and Principal who joined JDD Studio after graduating from Iowa State University’s Professional Bachelors of Architecture program in 2004. Abby has experience designing and managing a variety of building types, scales and budgets, each with varying complexities ranging from a historic preservation project for The Bachelor Farmer Restaurant, TBF Cafe, and Marvel Bar to the interior design for several private residences and hospitality projects. She has considerable experience in and a real fondness for hospitality projects, a result of her passion for food and the experience of dining, along with lifelong involvement in the service industry. Oftentimes she is involved in every single aspect of a project, from the daily project management, programming, and schematic design to the interior finishes, furnishings, and final styling, bringing an enthusiasm for every detail and an inherent resourcefulness. Striving to combine form and function with personality, Abby aims to understand a client’s design goals while bringing unexpected ideas to reflect and guide a client’s personal style.
