Longshadows Residence

Longshadows was designed by Ralph Rapson and completed in 1960 for Mrs. Markell Brooks in a western suburb of Minneapolis. Our client bought the house in 2010 with an eye toward updating the original and adding bedrooms for their kids while enhancing the masterful design of the original house. Taking cues from Rapson’s palette and the wonderful, intimate scale of the house, the renovation is at once a dramatic refresh of the original and a sensitive addition to the composition.
