Textile Center of Minnesota

The Textile Center of Minnesota is the only facility in the state that represents all fiber art forms and the only center in the country that is formed by a coalition from the textile community. Their many programs had outgrown their current facility and JDD was commissioned to perform concept design and masterplan work to address Textile Center needs within the context of the burgeoning Prospect Park neighborhood. The study identifies four design options; Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large, each representing varying magnitudes of size, scope, program, site development, and costs that when taken as a whole demonstrate a wide range of approaches from which to pursue future project development.
